Good day to you my dear watchers!
Greetings from Poland, where I don't have internets at home, it's ridiculously hot and I'm forced to play tennis every second morning!

I wanted to go to an internet cafe a couple of days ago, but when I asked my mum she replied with "I loath computers. Letters are far more superior than email." As I didn't want to get into another debate about how computers don't actually suck the life out of you, I decided to keep quet and just wait until I could go to my cousin's house.
So here I am listening to the blissful hum of the computer checking my inbox and typing this journal, constantly being jealous of my brother who goes back to England tomorrow to earn money for his Japan trip. Grr...

On the positive side, I went to Warsaw on Friday with Vennoxie and Sharkie to attend Animatsuri, an anime con, on Saturday to make my say a little more eventful. After wandering around a bit and watching people parade in cosplay they'd had to prepare in less than an hour out of loo roll, cardboard and other junk, we happened to come across Kate-san and Gimmy-chan to whom I attatched myself for most of the day. I got the Chocobo plushie I'd been wanting to buy and 6 badges, all with art from Uglybakagirl.
Vennox entered a Katamari tournament and come 2nd - w00t! and played Go with Shark. I changed into my Chiyo cosplay which I'd brought with me, but nobody was taking pictures! I was shocked. Being the "Attention Hore" I am, my mood was slightly spoiled. Going to the local shop was fun, as the casheirs had puzzled expressions while watching cosplayers come in and out.

Then came the cosplay competition! Waiting to be put in line, Ichimaru Gin and some guy with goggles showing off his torso slightly with the character name Simon approached me and asked "Can we have a photo with you?" Of course, i didn't decline and stood in the middle of them as they pulled at my ponytails. Their friend then demanded he had a photo with me so I posed for the camera and smiled. Out of the corner of my eye, I think I saw him make a joke groping sign with his hand...freaky... Some other cosplayers I'd been talking to stood in awe as I came back to them and stated that I seemed popular. ^_^
In front of me in this line was a Misa and an L who were both doing their first ever cosplay(ironically they didn't know each other) I shocked them a bit by telling them I wasn't fully polish and that I was 17. The replies were "But you speak polish so well" and "YOU'RE 17?!" D:

When it was my turn to go on stage, I ran up the steps and made cute poses, grinning all the way through. I even spun around randomly, which turned out to be a small mistake as my skirt lifted a little higher than expected. I heard a lot of awwing from the crowd and what later turned out to be "Fly Chiyo-chan, fly!" I marched over to the host, as we had been told we would be asked a question. "Are you always this happy?" She asked. My honest response was "No." The crowd burst into laughter and awwed some more.
I didn't win anything as there were only 2 prizes, but it was a good day.

I've been trying to be creative by drawing, but atm all I've come up with are some clothing designs. I wrote a short sketch as Vennox is trying to persuade me to make films, but I don't really want to because I have to spend at least £200 on a good camcorder. No moneys!
Hopefully Kate-san and Gimmy-chan will "adopt" me for part of the holidays to save me from the boredom of just gardening, food shopping and tennis.
I'm hating tennis. Getting up at 7 to play from 9 till 11/12, not being able to play properly, getting tired hot and sweaty really easily and running 400m around the track to "warm down". Not fun when you're wheezing like an ahstmatic afterwards.

I have to get back home now, so I hope your holidays are going well and I'll try and reply before next week.
